Development and Society provides an international and interdisciplinary forum for new research and ideas on social, cultural, political as well as economic development. In particular, it welcomes contributions that analyze various social causes and consequences of development, discuss alternative and sustainable forms of development, social quality and related issues and/or propose new strategies for improving human conditions.
Editorial Policy: All papers submitted for the Development and Society are sent out for peer review. The reviewers will be selected upon the scholars with considerable experience on the subject in which submitted paper focuses. The two anonymous reviewers will either accept or reject the paper for the publication. They are also able to demand further revising before they finally accept or reject the paper. Following the decision of the reviewers, the editorial board of Development and Society will notify the author with results.
Submission: Authors should submit three copies of their manuscript and an electronic copy to: the Editor, Development and Society, the Institute for Social Development and Policy Research, Seoul National University, Seoul 151-746, Korea(devsoceditor@hanmail.net). It is understood that all contributions have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration for publication in other journals or books. While submission of manuscripts is open throughout the year, the specific deadlines for submitting manuscripts for issues ar as follows: - For the Volume no. 1: 28 February - For the Volume no. 2: 31 August
Presentation: Manuscripts should be double-spaced and typed in English on single sides of paper. Authors should provide a short abstract of no more than 150 words and a brief biographic sketch of 80 words or fewer. The cover page should present each author's full name and address for correspondence, including, if available, telephone and facsimile numbers and e-mail address.
